Colina da Lapa & Villas

The villa was huge with lots of space for the children to run around. The garden contained a pool, jacuzzi, brick barbecue and outside sink. We were situated at the end of the row and had almost complete privacy. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any issues we had. A free minibus took us into Carvoeiro or to a local beach.

The apartment was very clean, and when the need arose to cook, I had all the utensils I needed. The bed was comfortable, and the pool was lovely. Parking was great, near the apartment. Grounds are kept super cleaning. The room had aircon, but I never used it.

It was a large rental with nice views, and pretty grounds. Quiet and peaceful in Feb. Great staff. It is a remote location. Alot of things, pool, restaurants, tours are closed in Feb so not much happening if thats your thing. There is a restaurant on grounds, but Im not one to eat out.

The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The easy to access site was very clean and well kept. It was easy to get taxis to nearby locations and the staff were incredibly helpful in telling us about the local area. The apartment itself was clean and tidy with useful amenities such as an iron, cooking essentials and a TV with many channels. The room service also made the beds and provided clean towels everyday which was great. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We stayed for 3 nights but would definitely stay for longer next time!

The continental breakfast satisfied the whole family daily - it was fresh and well presented. A machine was available during breakfast for tea/coffee to help yourself. The apartment was comfortable and well located within the complex with easy access to the pool and bar. Plenty of sun beds to accommodate all guests and the whole family enjoyed the pool table and table tennis, which was available at our leisure. The cleaners cleaned the apartment daily and provided plenty of fresh towels. The two balconies of the apartment were a bonus and books were readily available in the apartment, which was great as I had forgotten to pack a book! The free shuttle bus was handy for us to find our bearings for the first couple of days but if the times weren't convenient as the holiday went on, it was easy to pick up a cheap Uber to get into Carvoeiro or locations nearby. Hired a car from reception for a few days and the process was easy. We loved exploring the area and there was free parking in the complex. The staff at Colina da Lapa were accommodating and were extremely helpful prior to, and throughout our stay, organising our airport transfers for example. We loved Colina da Lapa and would love to return to stay in a villa next time. We felt very safe. It has a couple of lovely restaurants within walking distance but it was not difficult to travel a short distance to Carvoeiro if you wanted more of the busyness and entertainment. The Slide and Splash water park was very convenient and we had an excellent day. It was perfect for us as a family; suitable for all ages. Would recommend.
